The Trusts is made up of the Portage and Waitākere Licensing Trusts, which West Aucklanders voted to establish in the early 1970s. Both are 100% community owned, with members elected by local residents every three years. Surplus profits from their retail stores and hospitality venues go back into local schools, community groups, businesses and people across The West, from Huia to Whenuapai. They do this through the Your West Support and Innovation Funds, sponsorships, Supporters Club and community donations. Their head office is at Level 1, 703 Rosebank Road, Avondale.
